QuickCue Add to Chrome

Your best lines, one click away.

QuickCue is a free Chrome sidebar for AI chat. Save the replies, prompts, and narrative directions you keep retyping, then drop them into any chat with a click.

Free. No account. Nothing leaves your device.

Built for long conversations

If you spend real time with AI characters, interactive stories, or other creative setups built on top of chat, you end up typing the same things again and again. QuickCue keeps them in reach.

  • Cards for everything you retype

Quick replies, system-style prompts, scene directions. Write a card once and it's there in every chat, on every site.

  • Tags that keep it tidy

Give each card a tag and filter the list with a tap. Reply, Prompt, Narrative, or whatever fits how you play.

  • A set of cards for each character

Some lines only land with one personality. Assign a card to a character and switch between them from the top of the sidebar. Shared cards follow you everywhere.

  • Cards that know who you're talking to

Drop a name blank into any card and it fills itself in with the character you're chatting with. QuickCue picks the name up from the tab's title, so one "Good morning" card works for all of them.

  • Narrative that formats itself

Tag a card Narrative and it goes in wrapped in asterisks, the way many character and story chats mark action. Mix it with your own dialogue as freely as you like.

  • Works on everyday assistants too

On everyday assistants, pick No character and the sidebar shows only your plain prompt cards. No names, no guessing, just the prompts you reuse.

  • Replace or add on

Click a card to swap out what's in the message box. Shift+click to stack it after what you've written.

  • Send without reaching for the button

Click a card to fill the message box, click it again to send. Or set cards to send on the first click, or never. Your call.

  • Your 20 favorite emoji

A tray you fill yourself, so the ones you use are never three menus deep.

  • Blur images

One switch hides every image and video on the page from anyone nearby. Hold Alt and hover to peek.

On any chat site, click the QuickCue icon in your toolbar or press Alt Shift C.

  2. Click the message box

Once is enough. QuickCue remembers where you were typing.

  3. Click a card

Its text lands in the box. Press + any time to write a new card of your own.

Private by design

What you say to an AI character is your business. QuickCue was built so that it never could be ours.

Questions people ask

Which sites does it work on?

Any site with a normal message box, which covers nearly every AI chat, companion, and creative-writing service. See where it works for the ones we've tested ourselves.

How do I use it in Incognito?

Chrome keeps every extension out of Incognito until you allow it. Go to chrome://extensions, open QuickCue, and switch on "Allow in Incognito". Your cards are shared between regular and Incognito windows.

Does it send messages by itself?

No. Nothing is typed or sent unless you click. By default the first click on a card fills the message box and a second click on the same card sends it. You can change that to send on the first click, or to never send so you always press send yourself.

The sidebar vanished after I reloaded the page.

That's the privacy design at work: QuickCue only runs on a page after you click its icon. Click the icon again and it's back, with all your cards.

It's free. How do you make money?

Some links on our where it works page are affiliate links. If you sign up for a service through one, we may earn a commission at no cost to you. The extension itself contains no affiliate links, ads, or tracking.

Stop retyping. Start the scene.

Install takes a few seconds, and there's nothing to sign up for.
